Sport Social Work

Sport social work is a specialized area of mental health that supports the emotional and psychological well-being of athletes and those involved in sports. It recognizes that behind every performance — whether on the field, in the gym, or in everyday life — there’s a person managing pressure, motivation, relationships, and identity.

As a therapist trained in sport social work, I help athletes, parents, and teams navigate challenges such as performance anxiety, burnout, injury recovery, body image, and transitions in and out of sport. The goal isn’t just to improve performance — it’s to foster balance, resilience, and a healthy sense of self beyond the game.

This approach brings together mental health care and a deep understanding of the athletic experience, offering support that meets you where you are — both as a person and as an athlete.
